Jim, I would not worry about them. A quick look at the site and who their officers are indicated they are all from Texas. Having a slate all from any one state is not a good idea if you are telling the world that you are a "national" society. Just to close the loop on this, Bernie just sent an email to his subscriber list stating that ARRL is presently reviewing the DXCC status of these two islands and nothing has been "added" yet. Dave Patton has the PSC is reviewing the matter as we speak. Bernie is a little premature in announcing the "addition" to the DXCC List. That hasn't happened yet. In the Weekly DX newsletter last night he just stated it had met the criteria for a new DXCC entity and didn't say it had been added. This is not a surprise, although exactly when it was going to be added to the "Dependencies and Areas of Special Sovereignty" public list from the Department of State was not known until it happened late yesterday. Anyway, everyone seems to agree that it does meet the criteria and yes, an official announcement will come from us when it IS accepted. Oh, one other thing.....Yes, of course Marty Lane is already there, set to fire up with an operation starting around noon today! As Roderick used to say about potential new DX entity marketing, these guys show up somewhere a potential new one exists, work tens of thousands of hams telling them it will be a new country, then dare us not to count it!! But, as I said, I haven't seen anything that would suggest this doesn't meet the criteria as of yesterday, Bernie is just a little premature in announcing such approval!!
