Hello ALL - The ARRL Lab announced a revised and new version of the RF Safety Calculator in yesterday's InNews - http://arrl.org/rf-exposure-calculator As it notes in the InNews, there are a few additional changesto be made before it is linked to the ARRL.org/RF-Exposure webpage. Thanks to Ed Hare and Dave Minster for getting this pageestablished and to Dr. Greg Lapin and the RF Safety Committeefor their efforts. Attached is the final version of Ritz Motion #1. In addition to changing "CEO" to "Chief Executive Officer", I also fixed a typo that I just found in the document numbering within Appendix 2. (I had Section 12.3, should be Section 5.4 at the top.) It's amazing to me that I can read something a hundred times, and the 101st time I'll find something I screwed up.... Many thanks to Bill and JR for checking the document. Now it should be ready to go, and there is now one more governance document that is cleaned up. Working for (too) many years in the electronics industry, we were bound by having to meet ISO-9000 quality standards. The mantra of this standard is engrained in my head: "Document what you do, then do what you document". The ARRL is slowly getting there. See everyone in about a half-hour! 73; Mike W7VO

As PSC chair this year have been working with the two Advisory committees (DXAC and CAC). In reading over the governance documentation for the Advisory Committees (Section 5.4 of the Director's Workbook, and the Advisory Committee Rules on the website) I found that they were not only woefully out of date compared to reality, they contradicted each other. Time for a makeover! The result of this effort is the motion attached here. I ran this by President Roderick yesterday to ensure I had things documented so that they matched his view of things. He agreed. If one of the Board directors here could review my mark-ups and agree to second the motion I can get this into Dee in preparation for tomorrow's meeting. Thanks! 73; Mike W7VO
