A Reuters story yesterday about Kevin Mitnick's online auction of the laptops he used while a fugitive in the mid-90s includes the sentence, "He said he will use the money to pay an attorney who has been trying to get his revoked amateur radio license back." I agree the story is troubling, Jim. I got behind, sorry. Brad had a 5x bypass (yes, five!) on Saturday. He came through OK. I visited him Monday, and he was very weak, but doing OK. He'll probably be in the hospital for another week. His email mailbox filled up on the 25th, so those who wrote after the 25th had their mail returned. I dropped by his place Monday afternoon, downloaded all his email. If you write now it won't be rejected, but Brad won't be able to read anything until he's home, and probably not for a few days after that. 73. I have contacted texas.net which is the ISP in question in this matter and convinved them to remove the block on arrl.net. The "block" was established by them solely, not through the mail-abuse.org group which we are well aware of and does not list the arrl.net server on their "black list". Barry has had one rather unsatisfactory conversation with someone who is relatively low on the food chain at texas.net. We'll move higher until we find someone who knows what they're doing. Dave, I have recommended that he do that. I have also just learned that this is a locally generated "Blackhole List" that his ISP has implemented. So it isn't the what I was led to believe at first. Coy: We've had this situation on occasion in the past and have been able to resolve them, although not without some pain. I will need to know the name/internet address of the ISP in question before we can take any action, though. Can you give me the name of the member or get the information from him? Thanks.
