Do the Section Manager’s budgets run 1/1-12/31? If so, what happens in the event that an incumbent SM whose term ends either 6/30 or 9/30 expends all of the monies prior to the end of their term and a new person takes the office for the remainder of the calendar year (with zero left in the budget)? Doug, all budgets operate on the same fiscal year which for the ARRL is the same as the calendar year. It happens occasionally that an outgoing SM has spent more of the budget than one might expect. If a new SM ever finds him/herself short of funds for that reason they should contact Dave Patton.
