[arrl-odv:15710] Re: FW: ARRL National Convention - Invitation

Please note that the rate in this note is $119, but the rate quoted on the reservation form is $134.28. Perhaps the difference is tax and such? However, when I'm traveling at my own expense, those rates are a bit out of reach (plus my wife who isn't at all interested in amateur radio would have a fit). If you're on a budget (as I am), there is a La Quinta about 1.3 miles from the convention center (which is walking distance for me) with Expedia rates of $49 per night and the rates are even lower if you have AAA or similar. My employer has corporate rates with La Quinta, which cuts my rate down about another 20%. -- Andy Oppel, N6AJO At 01:01 PM 6/19/2007, Kramer, Harold, WJ1B wrote:

Were excited to report that planning is well-underway for the 2007 ARRL National Convention and ARRL EXPO in Huntsville, August 18-19, <http://www.arrl.org/expo>www.arrl.org/expo. The convention is preceded by the Global Amateur Radio Emergency Communications Conference (GAREC), August 16-17 at the Embassy Suites Huntsville, <http://www.iaru.org/emergency/garec2007.html>http://www.iaru.org/emergency/garec2007.html.
Please respond with the following information:
1) Are you attending the ARRL National Convention? [And, please include the name(s) and call sign(s) of any other traveler(s) that will accompany you--spouse, companion or other family member--for exhibit badges]
2) Your shirt size if youd like a couple of ARRL polo shirts. The shirts are yellow/butter colored, same as Dayton, and the Ladies style has a V-neck. These shirts are NOT personalized (we will wear our red badges).
