[arrl-odv:19895] NPR story

The NPR story about H.R. 607 ran this afternoon. It followed in a nice segue from a story about the tornado devastation. The interview with me was at least half an hour, and they used a sentence or two. Same for Joe Taylor K1JT and several other people. However, the whole story was favorable to Amateur Radio. King's office declined to be interviewed but issued a statement about working with us hams to resolve the problem. My husband's comment about that was a two-syllable word having to do with what you find on the ground in a barnyard full of bovines. Allen Pitts did a super job with the NPR people bringing everything together to get this story on the air. Hats off to him and to everyone who took part as interviewees. We have a relationship with the producer and reporter that may come back to help us someday. NPR stories can be listened to on line.
