[arrl-odv:23498] KB7ILD license revoked

The attached is in today's FCC Daily Digest. Kay, I know you recall the George Rogers case cited at footnote 44. Dave

I do indeed remember the George Rogers case, having provided to the EC the court records on the basis of which Rogers was kicked out of the ARRL. Only when that ARRL action became public did the FCC (pre-Riley era) find a backbone and decline to renew his license. This scum used the opportunity to operate his station to lure his victims over to his house. Although he abused his son's friends and his friends' sons, the FCC refused to take any action against him until the EC stood up and did the right thing. 73 - Kay N3KN

Hello All; Please find attached a copy of the first requestfor input from the VHF/UHF Contest Community forproposed changes to the ARRL VHF/UHF Contest Rules. This letter represents a consensus of the PSC Sub-Committee thatis comprised of; Joel Harrison, W5ZN; Doug Rehman, K4AC;Marty Woll, N6VI; Dave Patton, NN1N; and myself, W9XA.Please note that the proposed changes would apply only to VHF/UHF contests. Also the request for input is NOT a call for a straw vote, but rather a request for well considered independent comments from the VHF and above contesting community. I do know that for many the ideas embodied in theseproposals run counter to what many may see as hard fast idealsin HF contesting; but it is the consensus of this Committee thatthese proposed changes would enhance the overall participation by theVHF and above community and will be received as a positive stepfor contesting on the higher bands. I ask that any Director, Vice-Director or Officer that receivesany input please direct the commenting party to the email addressgiven in the attached letter; vhf-input@arrl.org Humbly submitted on behalf of the Committee, 73, Kermit A Carlson W9XA VHF/UHF Contest Revitalization Sub-Committee Chair Central Division Vicedirector

Thanks for all your work Kermit. You have addressed the concerns I included in my previous proposal. 73, Jim From: Kermit Carlson via arrl-odv Sent: Wednesday, November 12, 2014 9:08 AM To: 'arrl-odv' Subject: [arrl-odv:23507] PSC - VHF UHF Contest Committee call for VHF Contest Community input Hello All; Please find attached a copy of the first request for input from the VHF/UHF Contest Community for proposed changes to the ARRL VHF/UHF Contest Rules. As an aside, the committee Kermit leads is a sub-committee of PSC, so any final recommendations will obviously come across our desk when appropriate. Their upcoming (and future) outreach effort will be to float ideas, identify legitimate concerns, and develop buy-in within the VHF+ contesting community. 73, Brian N5ZGT On Nov 12 2014 10:08 AM, Kermit Carlson via arrl-odv wrote:
