The long-time host of the the Pacific Division Convention, PACIFICON, recently opted not to manage this year's event. After much discussion, Andy Oppel suggested that I contact the Emcommwest 09 organization to see if they would be interested in hosting Pacificon 2009 during their event. Thank you, Andy. They were interested, and the transition is moving ahead very smoothly and quickly. Only time will tell, of course, but I am optimistic. What follows is a brief note I sent to my Section Managers, as there were numerous rumors floating around in cyberspace.
