[arrl-odv:29022] ARRL contest survey

Dear Officers, Directors and Vice-Directors, As some of you may have heard or seen, HQ sent out a survey to recent Sweepstakes Participants. Some of you may be receiving complaints from CAC members about that survey. This survey was done at the request of the PSC, and was to be done in coordination with the CAC. While not an excuse, there appears to have been a complete breakdown in that process, with some people assuming communications and coordination that never happened. We can and must do better. I pledge to restore an environment of trust and respect, where staff and volunteers work together for the benefit of ARRL and ham radio. In that regards, feel free to disseminate this email to anyone concerned. Wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving, 73, Howard, WB2ITX -- Howard E. Michel, WB2ITX Chief Executive Officer ARRL, The National Association for Amateur Radio® 225 Main Street, Newington, CT 06111-1494 USA Telephone: +1 860-594-0404 email: hmichel@arrl.org

FYI... The survey is here if anyone wanted to take a look at it. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/7SF7PMR You can answer and scroll down the list (11 questions) just please do not hit the "done" button so it does not skew the results of how many participated compared to how many were invited to take it. Assuming not all that entered the contest were sent the link. Mark, HDX On Tue, Nov 26, 2019 at 12:25 PM Michel, Howard, WB2ITX (CEO) < wb2itx@arrl.org> wrote:

I might be missing something, but all of these topics were discussed by the CAC and P&SC. I’m not sure what the issue is really. I’ve heard calls for reform of the CAC and DXAC but everything has so far been vague and not specific as to what they would like. Maybe it’s time for serious discussion so that clear lines can be defined. Ria N2RJ On Tue, Nov 26, 2019 at 3:42 PM Mark J Tharp <kb7hdx@gmail.com> wrote:

Dear ODV,As CAC liaison I provide the CAC with a report and feedback of items pertaining to them from our PSC meetings.I need to check my home computer, but I'm pretty sure I told them about conducting a survey. If I didn't tell them then I will eat crow and apologize to them. 73,Greg, W4OZK -------- Original message --------From: "Michel, Howard, WB2ITX (CEO)" <wb2itx@arrl.org> Date: 11/26/19 2:25 PM (GMT-06:00) To: arrl-odv <arrl-odv@reflector.arrl.org> Subject: [arrl-odv:29022] ARRL contest survey Dear Officers, Directors and Vice-Directors,As some of you may have heard or seen, HQ sent out a survey to recentSweepstakes Participants.
