[arrl-odv:13200] Re: ARRL complaint re BPL database

In re BPL During the past few weeks I've visited several club meetings and, of course, a prime topic was BPL. I've been pleased to tell them I thought that thanks to our HQ effort, BPL in its "electronically-dirty" version is dieing slowly-but-surely. I'm even more pleased to have sensed a considerable degree of sophistication among members who have begun to realize we aren't anti-BPL technology, but are strongly anti-interference caused by lousy (lousy = technical term) execution of the technology. Kudos to Dave and crew! By the way, because of the Motorola Powerline LV system now in operation at W1AW, we are a "BPL operator" so we have requested a user name and password for administrative access to the database. It will be interesting to see what UTC's reaction is. Dave K1ZZ <<Franca rev 2.doc>>
