[arrl-odv:33322] Recommend Soaking ARRL Polo Shirt First

Dear ODV Members: I never thought I'd be posting housekeeping hints but I wanted to pass this one along in case it saves some potential grief. The blue polo shirts we were given are stylish, fashionable and are made of that wonderful wick-away fabric. The blue dye, however, comes out easily. I always presoak dark shirts before I place them in a wash with other clothes. I soaked and rinsed mine twice before enough dye came out that I can now place the shirt with other clothes in the wash and not worry about accidental staining of other clothes. As I said, not high-level policy making, but a minor item which might save part of your wardrobe. Hope everyone got home safely and thanks to Diane, David and JP for a wonderful meeting and the gift of the shirt. 73 de Bill Morine, N2COP Vice Director - Roanoke Division Representing ARRL members in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia ARRL - the national association for Amateur Radio Facebook Page: ARRL Roanoke Division Website: <http://www.arrl-roanoke.org> www.arrl-roanoke.org

Thanks for the note! I will wash it with my washed out jeans then. 73 Ria N2RJ ________________________________ From: arrl-odv <arrl-odv-bounces@reflector.arrl.org> on behalf of n2cop@ec.rr.com <n2cop@ec.rr.com> Sent: Sunday, January 23, 2022 3:23:53 PM To: arrl-odv <arrl-odv@reflector.arrl.org> Subject: [arrl-odv:33322] Recommend Soaking ARRL Polo Shirt First Dear ODV Members: I never thought I’d be posting housekeeping hints but I wanted to pass this one along in case it saves some potential grief. If you wear it for 23 continuous hours on your trip home from the meeting I think it will be alright. I'll let you know Bill. First hand knowledge. And will see how the mustard stain comes out from Chicago as well. :) 73 all. Mark, HDX On Sun, Jan 23, 2022 at 12:23 PM <n2cop@ec.rr.com> wrote:

David, I suspect that you only wear woodland camo undershirts, so this will only help mute the pattern...
