Subject: [arrl-odv:33322] Recommend Soaking ARRL Polo Shirt First

Dear ODV Members:

I never thought I’d be posting housekeeping hints but I wanted to pass this one along in case it saves some potential grief.  The blue polo shirts we were given are stylish, fashionable and are made of that wonderful wick-away fabric.  The blue dye, however, comes out easily.  I always presoak dark shirts before I place them in a wash with other clothes.  I soaked and rinsed mine twice before enough dye came out that I can now place the shirt with other clothes in the wash and not worry about accidental staining of other clothes.  As I said, not high-level policy making, but a minor item which might save part of your wardrobe.  Hope everyone got home safely and thanks to Diane, David and JP for a wonderful meeting and the gift of the shirt.
