So they hired staff to interface with outside designers who are paid to do the work formerly done by staff? Hmmm . Sales and Marketing Reported by Yvette Vinci, KC1AIM Tim Norcia joined HQ staff as the new Creative Services Manager. Tim will be managing our third-party logo use as liaison to outside designers, as well as coordinating the production and design work orders . This concerns me as well. Is this costing us more, or less? Seems like layer upon layer. Or is there a better explanation? Ria N2RJ On Fri, Feb 21, 2020 at 2:30 PM Richard Norton via arrl-odv < arrl-odv@reflector.arrl.org> wrote:

Dick/Ria et al: From the 2020-2021 Plan Summary approved by the Board in January, p.23 (Staffing Summary): “….The 2 Graphic Artist positions will be replaced by a lower level Creative Services Manager position who will work with consultants to outsource the larger graphic projects and have the skills to handle small in-house changes. The position will be responsible for insuring the established brand guidelines are followed. The estimated net savings of this change is expected to be over $20,000 per year.” My personal opinion is that, with this change, we will also get the benefit of new perspectives on graphics projects. In addition, this is not an uncommon practice for many organizations looking to save money. 73, Barry, N1VXY From: arrl-odv <arrl-odv-bounces@reflector.arrl.org> On Behalf Of Richard Norton via arrl-odv Sent: Friday, February 21, 2020 2:30 PM To: arrl-odv <arrl-odv@reflector.arrl.org> Subject: [arrl-odv:29713] Re: IN Newsletter February 21, 2020 So they hired staff to interface with outside designers who are paid to do the work formerly done by staff?
