All, The Central Florida Scouting organization is one of the largest youth education and licensing organization for amateur radio in the country. The $50 fee would end this program. For us it would end the path to amateur radio and shift us to promote GMRS for family use. (no test, set fee, shared by whole family.) When we created the Summer Camp class...just the $15/arrl VEC fee was enough to equate $6k/year for our program, resulting in us using Laurel VEC.
