RE: [arrl-odv:15596] Secret Society?

Now that I'm back home I just read his editorial. It was different that the previous one I had seen regarding RM-11306. Sad. What REALLY chapped me even worse was the follow up slap in the face on page 57, which of course is seriously lacking factual detail. Well, like I said, I guess he feels since they are not enjoying all of the positive growth we are the best thing to do is attack us. I really thought Rich was above that but I've obviously been proven wrong. Sad. Seems I recall years ago Sumner telling stories about how the ARRL helped save them a couple of times when their sales were so poor. Maybe he doesn't need to be on one of the League's Committees next time around. 73, K5UR -----Original Message----- From: Joel Harrison To: arrl-odv Sent: Wed, 30 May 2007 11:29 am Subject: RE: [arrl-odv:15596] Secret Society? I don't think I have seen this specific editorial, although I did read one he sent out concerning RM-11306 that pretty disheartening to see coming from Rich. All I can say is if I were Rich and was sitting back watching the League grow with a considerable amount of positive attitude from radio amateurs nationwide and my magazine subscriptions weren't keeping pace, I'd be a little sour as well. Too bad, as Rich is on the ARRL Public Relations Committee! 73 Joel W5ZN p.s. Yea, Coy, it didn't chap my jaws but it sure chapped the front to back ratio of my body! -----Original Message----- From: Coy Day [mailto:n5ok@arrl.org <mailto:n5ok@arrl.org?> ] Sent: Wednesday, May 23, 2007 5:36 PM To: arrl-odv Subject: [arrl-odv:15596] Secret Society? Hi All, I just read Rich Moseson's editorial about the ARRL being a secret society. His comment about "saying one thing while doing another" really chapped my jaws!
