[ARRL-ODV:9781] Did All Of You Receive This SPAM SCAM?

3 DEC, 2003 - 1355 CST How many of you have received this notification that you have won a British lottery? If we all "won" and it was legitimate (FAT CHANCE!), we could establish a very healthy ARRL endowment. This scam is a vastly enlarged Internet version of the old "Pidgeon Drop Scam". My editorial comments are inserted in boldface in the message below. 73 - Dick, W9GIG =================================================================== Received: from unknown (HELO M2.ARRL.ORG) ([69.0.106.218]) (envelope-sender <risby2004@netscape.net>) by mail17.speakeasy.net (qmail-ldap-1.03) with SMTP for <grisely@speakeasy.net>; 3 Dec 2003 19:23:29 -0000 Received: from mail.ARRL.ORG ([10.1.120.113]) by M2.ARRL.ORG with Microsoft SMTPSVC(5.0.2195.6713); Wed, 3 Dec 2003 14:23:25 -0500 Received: from onmo1463.com ([195.166.233.19]) by mail.ARRL.ORG with Microsoft SMTPSVC(5.0.2195.6713); Wed, 3 Dec 2003 14:23:22 -0500 From: "MICHAEL RISBY" <risby2004@netscape.net> Reply-To: risby2004@netscape.net To: w9gig@arrl.org Date: Wed, 3 Dec 2003 20:10:08 -0800 Subject: CONGRATULATIONS.........................
