I would tell W7VO that the loan was applied for because we were in a position of having to furlough employees as the result of the CT Governor’s mandate to reduce the number of people in the office by 100%, There were some staff who were unable to perform their jobs remotely and therefore would have been out of work. In addition, we were experiencing a loss of revenue as a result of the pandemic as well as a significant loss of asset values in our unrestricted assets. As I told the Board, there are any number of people who think they know better than the SBA who should participate in this program and they don’t.
