The traffic stations have become essentially obsolete. One of them broadcasted the same message about Obama's inauguration for 8 years. https://gizmodo.com/a-ghost-radio-station-has-been-broadcasting-the-same-tr-... Matt Blaze (WB2SRI) noticed it and it's only when he tweeted it out did people notice. Even when I had a car with AM, the ones here were off the air. Most people today use Waze and google maps for traffic. When you see blinking lights on the roadside sign it's a message to tune your radio to the appropriate frequency for the warning message. Vehicles that do not have AM radios in them cannot get the messages. I'm sure other states do that as well. That said, I'm sure they also have the information available on their websites, or maybe even an app, but one isn't usually surfing the web while driving, unless of course, one owns a Tesla and it's doing the driving. Sorry Ria, I had to put that in there. ;-) 73; Mike W7VO On 03/01/2023 12:30 PM Bob Famiglio, K3RF via arrl-odv <arrl-odv@reflector.arrl.org> wrote: We know the real story (problem) here is that those vehicles cannot suppress the RFI they generate.
