Hello Ria, Dick, et al, The memo sent June 1st indicate those candidates who were progressing in theprocess, The Committee decided not to re-send the list on June 4th since nofurther decisions were possible since the second set of interviews had not beencompleted. In fact the last set of interviews had not been completed until theend of June. That list of candidates did proceed in the process at that point inthe selection process, nothing in that memo should have led one to believe thatthe finalist were to be selected by the 4th of June. The first established plan of the Committee had been to conduct the in-personinterviews in Windsor Locks at the Marriott Hotel in the week prior to the Board Meeting.Reservations were made and locations at the Hotel identified for that process. In fact those interviews would have taken place next week, It was necessary to cancel theplan for the date and place of that meeting when it also became necessary to changethe method of the Board meeting from an in-person meeting "in Newington" to aall remote Board Meeting. The minutes of the last meeting will clarify the process, but I will not commentuntil the Committee approves the meeting minutes following the meeting tomorrow Thursday 7/9 and only after approval of the CEO Search Committee. I see the need to rely more heavily on the CEO Selection Committee members . They have conducted interviews and each member must have ranked the candidates. I hope we can depend on them to give us the benefit of their efforts on this task. I request that: 1) The list of highest-ranked candidates be made immediately available to the full Board. 2) Each Committee member provide the Board with his ranking of each of the top candidates, and reasons for his ranking. It may be as simple as rating some qualifications from 1 to 10, and giving a score for each candidate for each qualification item. I do not know what qualifications the Committee has applied. If we can see a list of the qualification criteria used and the resultant grade, it should shed considerable light on each candidate. I imagine that this work has actually been done by this time, and this request will only require forwarding to the Board.
