Dear Officers, Directors and Vice Directors, The November issue of digital QST debuted today at a much lower file size. Thanks to Dave Pingree’s efforts, we were able to reduce the download from 270 MB to 60 MB. Even on a 3G wireless cell connection, It will download the issue in 7 minutes. Over a 4G LTE connection, the issue should download in just 45 seconds. Compare this to a download test of an older 270 MB issue. With 4G LTE the download required 8 minutes. At 3G the download failed at about the 20 minute point. Dave was able to achieve all of this without any noticeable reduction in image quality. This is a major achievement that will likely be noticed by readers. Kudos to Dave! 73, Howard Howard E. Dear Officers, Directors and Vice Directors As we have been working through the budget process, it has become necessary to restructure and adapt our approach to ARRL's artistic graphics needs. As of December 20, 2019<x-apple-data-detectors://0> ARRL will no longer maintain an internal graphic design department. These services will be outsourced. More information on new processes and procedures will be distributed in the coming weeks. Change is often difficult, but essential. We sincerely appreciate the contributions Sue and Diane have provided ARRL over the years and they both have been invited to become part of the consulting pool of graphic artists ARRL will use in the future. 73, Howard Howard E. This is despite the US National Toxicology Programs findings of clear evidence of statistically significant carcinogenic effects from wireless radiation emitting devices and infrastructure. The FCC and Telecom Act are basically mandating the exposure to a known carcinogen, neurotoxin and genotoxin. We believe this to me immoral let alone illegal. And so we are finally taking legal action against the FCC and Telecom Act. We also may be adding other violations to this suit. We have who we believe to be the #1 attorney in the US for blocking cell towers and antennas in the US (we have used him twice successfully to block towers in our area). But the really exciting news is that since this attorney is in NY and we are in California, we had to partner with a CA law firm, so we have partnered with none other than the law firm from the film Erin Brokovich! This is the firm that sued PG&E for poisoning families, lying to them about it and giving them cancer and they beat PG&E!
