Gang On Friday our IT department was able to get the VM Webinar posted on the VM resources page at www.arrl.org/voluneer-monitor-resources<http://www.arrl.org/voluneer-monitor-resources> It is behind the VM site firewall but ODV members do have access to it. Please bear in mind that all things posted on that page should not be shared with those not on ODV or are a VM. Also please do not download from the site. This is to keep a wide range of frank information within the "need to know" family... Wouldn't be a good thing if the "problem children" knew some of the parameters that the FCC has with the new program. If you have any questions, Riley as program administrator would be the main point of contact. First of all I would like to thank the League’s news department for addressing the misleading video from YouTube concerning California repeaters. Even out east ive been getting inquiries wondering if we will be next in NJ/NY. I must agree on the need to restrict publishing repeater coordinates. Quite often ham repeaters are co-located with critical infrastructure and that site information is considered to be restricted from "general knowledge". My local county has tightened things sufficiently with our Critical Infrastructure requirements that I may have to create sets of false coordinates to protect our radio sites. That certainly creates additional site management problems. I have until the end of the year to reach a resolution. Further, the use of the coordinates has created a mis-listing for a couple of our repeaters, which for 45 years have been identified with "Monroe County" and not the actual communities in the county where the repeaters are located. Now, to find a "Monroe Repeater", one has to attempt to relate the repeater to rather obscure town in the county because of the listings based upon geographic coordinates.
