Greetings. Attached is my report to the Board. It unusually includes a report from a member of the Board of Directors as an Appendix. Mr. Lisenco's report to the Board on ARRL's legislative advocacy effort is attached without editing in any way. Mike asked that I include this in my report so as to preserve the confidentiality of the report. I am pleased to accommodate Mike and his report is a good counterpoint to my own discussion of our legislative effort in my own report. With the departure of Jim Weaver from the Board, there is an open spot on the CEO Candidate Screening Committee. Per the Board action last July, that spot will be filled at the upcoming meeting. Exactly where that will occur on the agenda is still a work in progress. I thought you would appreciate a reminder, in case you are interesting in seeking the position. The authorizing motion appears below. 73 - Kay N3KN =============== July 2013 ARRL Board meeting: 30. The following was moved by Mr. Fenstermaker, seconded by Mr. Lisenco: The ARRL Board of Directors shall establish a CEO Candidate Screening Committee consisting of five (5) ARRL Directors elected by the voting members of the ARRL Board of Directors. Any committee vacancies will be filled at an election by the voting members of the ARRL Board within 30 days of the vacancy. If said election is not done at a board meeting, the Executive Committee shall authorize a special board election. The CEO Candidate Screening Committee shall be dissolved after the hiring of the replacement CEO has been officially completed and he or she has assumed the office of ARRL CEO.

Dear members of the ARRL Board Family, With the time I can use ODV becoming increasingly shorter, I thought I would let you each know how much you have touched and enriched my life during the time we have shared on the Board. I feel very fortunate to be able to count you each as a friend. Together, I believe you constitute as great a group of people as there could be. My main loss in retiring from the Board is that I will no longer see or have contact with you on a regular basis. My second main regret in retiring is that I will be worth 150 points rather than 225 as a Centennial QSO Party contact!! Hi! CU on the bands.
