The following item is going up on the web page today noting that the issues with Earthlink have been resolved. What we were able to get Earthlink to do, only because of the good work of a Radio Amateur who works in the CEO's office, was to raise their internal standards relative to arrl.net so it wouldn't trigger their automated delaying/blocking. I've been told that they were raised high enough so it shouldn't be a problem anymore. Given their earlier statements that more than 50% of all mail from arrl.net to Earthlink was spam, they must have raised it up pretty high. So, mail is flowing again to Earthlink's servers from arrl.net. Both we and Earthlink will be sending out a note to our respective member/customers probably on Monday. We're going to try and coordinate it so we're not pointing fingers anymore. Although I am hesitant to say anything on this subject since I've had to reverse myself because of changing stories from Earthlink, I did have a conversation with my contact at Earthlink late this afternoon who tells me that they are now allowing mail to be forwarded through arrl.net again. We will wait until tomorrow morning at this point to verify it with our vendor in Indiana and, if so, will post a story on the web page. I should say that once we got above the level of tech support and customer service personnel, Earthlink (at least in this one individual's case) was very willing to work together to try and resolve the situation. (NYSE:IDA - News), and Ambient Corporation (OTC BB: ABTG) today jointly announced a memorandum of understanding to initiate in early September a pilot test of Broadband over Power Line (BPL) technology at up to 100 residential and commercial locations in Boise, Idaho. Ambient's technology is designed to facilitate the transmission of data over medium-voltage and low-voltage power lines directly to the end-user's computer. IDACOMM's BPL service will provide broadband Internet access to the power outlets in the home or business participating in the pilot program. IDACOMM is planning the most complete and sophisticated pilot test of an end-to-end broadband solution conducted to date, according to Matt Collins, IDACOMM's director of BPL deployment. The pilot test will include many aspects of a complete broadband offering not normally associated with BPL technology tests, including subscriber authentication, bandwidth monitoring and control, and advanced services such as video streaming and Voice over Internt Protocol.
