[arrl-odv:28211] FCC Letter

Hi all: Attached is David Siddall’s letter to the FCC he submitted today. As Kermit indicated, it would be good to have somediscussion on ODV about what your members think. This is "Déjà Vu" forthose of us that went through this a few years ago. Opinions vary aroundthe states and geographic areas. Granted, these are tough issues. 73 Rick – K5UR

On the run, should have added please treat the letter as Board Confidential. 73Rick - K5UR -----Original Message----- From: Roderick, Rick, K5UR via arrl-odv <arrl-odv@reflector.arrl.org> To: arrl-odv <arrl-odv@reflector.arrl.org> Sent: Tue, Jun 11, 2019 5:34 pm Subject: [arrl-odv:28211] FCC Letter Hi all: Attached is David Siddall’s letter to the FCC he submitted today. Thanks Rick. Just so I am clear - while you say that this letter is board confidential, as an Ex Parte, does it not get published as part of the proceeding anyway? As you asked that it be board confidential I'll respect that but I'm wondering if that's not really the case. Hi Ria: That’s a good question and I wondered it myself when I hit the send buttonas I was hurrying out the door earlier. I’ll send a note to David Siddall andask him. Given the hour, it may be tomorrow before I find out an answer and willlet ODV know. 73 Rick – K5UR -----Original Message----- From: rjairam@gmail.com <rjairam@gmail.com> To: Rick Roderick <k5ur@aol.com> Cc: arrl-odv <arrl-odv@reflector.arrl.org> Sent: Tue, Jun 11, 2019 8:51 pm Subject: Re: [arrl-odv:28211] FCC Letter Thanks Rick. Hi all: David must be up late, too, as he answered my email ratherquickly. He said that once the letter was filed late this evening (we weresharing it with the Board before it was filed), that it was no longer confidentialand should be available as a public filing and on the internet. Consequently, theletter is not Board confidential. That reminds me about Board emails on ODV. There has been along history of honoring Board emails as confidential among ourselves on ODV. Thatway everyone is free to converse among our colleagues in the Board family. 73 Rick – K5UR -----Original Message----- From: Roderick, Rick, K5UR via arrl-odv <arrl-odv@reflector.arrl.org> To: rjairam <rjairam@gmail.com> Cc: arrl-odv <arrl-odv@reflector.arrl.org> Sent: Tue, Jun 11, 2019 11:03 pm Subject: [arrl-odv:28214] Re: FCC Letter Hi Ria: That’s a good question and I wondered it myself when I hit the send buttonas I was hurrying out the door earlier.
