Were on a roll thats for sure. Even though you may have read most of this in IN-NEWS (thanks Lisa), heres a quick update on what is happening.
Harold - Thanks for the summary of activities - sure does look awful busy! I've been tracking the number of classes in the ARRL class database as another indicator of activity. The current numbers show a 12% drop from February. http://www.arrl.org/FandES/courses/ Classes in the database Total Technician General Extra CW-only 1/3/07 105 1/25/07 127 78 36 7 6 2/21/07 143 88 44 7 4 3/24/07 126 76 39 9 2 (odd to see two sessions that are CW-only...) Anyhow, in New England the trend is similar. I would have hope to see the number continue to increase in March - it may just be that classes are more likely to start in February. There is a trend towards shorter classes as well - quite a number of them have less than five sessions. -- Tom ===== e-mail: k1ki@arrl.org ARRL New England Division Director http://www.arrl.org/ Tom Frenaye, K1KI, P O Box J, West Suffield CT 06093 Phone: 860-668-5444
