[arrl-odv:22492] Convention Update

Hi, A National Centennial Convention update: 1. As I wrote previously, the Downtown Marriott is sold out. We still have some rooms left in our reserved block. If you are a Board Member and need a room, please contact Lisa Kustosik to reserve your room. If you do not plan to stay at the Downtown Marriott, please also let her know so that she could use the room for someone else, if need be As a reminder, Board officials attending the convention should complete their registrations using the following PRIVATE web address (PLEASE DO NOT SHARE). This restricted site will waive all convention fees for Board officials. This same registration form should also be used by accompanying spouses or companions.https://www.regonline.com?eventID=1248082&rTypeID=345321. 2. If members ask you about where they can stay, there are other hotel options on the website. The hotels listed still have rooms available and we have increased our discounted room block agreement with most of them since they were filling up already. 3. We continue to expand the content on the Convention website. We just added an expanded list of forums and programs http://www.arrl.org/convention-forums-and-presenters . Check it out - Dan Henderson has assembled an all-star group of presenters. 4. A number of Board Members have asked me about having an ARRL Board Hospitality Suite at the Hartford Downtown Marriott during the Centennial Convention. We will have available a 24' by 30' suite that is one large room with a bathroom and a wet bar. Lisa Kustosik negotiated a deal with the Marriott so that we can have it at no charge. If anyone has additional suggestions or needs related to this suite, please contact me or Lisa. 5. As of this moment, 463 people have registered in advance for the Convention - about 11% of our goal. 6. If you need a copy of the National Centennial Convention PowerPoint presentation or the newly updated Inside HQ PowerPoint presentation, let me know and I will get either or both of them to you. They are too large to go through the reflector but they can be sent to individual email addresses. 73, Harold
