[ARRL-ODV:7881] Re: Missed ODV/OD Postings?

Dick, of course not sure how the "Amerwreck" service is, but with my ISP (cable), I can go to their web page, and get my mail from there. Would that be possible in your case? 73, Tuck dick@pobox.com wrote:

My original plan was to switch ISPs right before the end of this month. However, the ISP I was using, SBC-Ameritech (known as "Ameriwreck" here in Illinois), screwed up my DSL connection two days ago and they still cannot give me an estimate of when service will be restored. I'm getting a daily refund of my service (had to request it) that will be credited to my next bill. I wonder if they will get the DSL circuit back up before I cancel it on 31 October? I wonder if I will ever be able to retrieve the few messages I know are still on SBC's email server system?
I already had the new service (sort of) up and running - there are still some line quality issues to be resolved between SBC-Ameritech and Speakeasy. But this circuit is still up even though SBC-Ameritech apparently can't keep their DSL service running. I've logged over thirty interruptions of DSL service in almost the year I have used SBC-Ameritech. I'm now using Speakeasy full-time for all my email and web browsing a bit earlier than planned.
If I missed any messages posted to the ODV and/or OD Reflectors in the last 48 hours, would somebody please send them directly to me at: dick@pobox.com?
Thanks & 73 - Dick, W9GIG
