Hi Gang, We returned from a vacation to KP2 and VP2V last evening. Just think, ten days without e-mails or cell phone! The problem now is getting caught up. While on St. Thomas, I visited the local club gathering and was buttonholed by Bernie, NP2W. Bernie is a proponent of the bandwidth regulation proposal and is probably one of the biggest users of winlink in the Caribbean area. He took us to his station and showed us how he uses the hambands for passing messages. He left me in his wake regarding some of the technical issues regarding use of digital technology. But then, I have a lot to learn about this topic before the July Board Meeting. Bernie is the technical guru behind a local cellphone company and really knows his stuff. Then, I visited with the British Virgin Island Amateur Radio Club. Since the passing of VP2VI and VP2VA, this group is trying to re-build with new local members. I'll disucss this a the board meeting with those who have an interest. 73 Jim Fenstermaker K9JF
