[arrl-odv:29880] Conference Call Protocols In The Time of High Use

All I received an email from one of my conference bridge providers this evening that discussed the conference call industry's scramble to add more bandwidth in the face of the rapid increase in conference calls. It made a suggestion that conference calls should start 5, 15, 45 or 50 minutes PAST the hour, because demand surges on the hour and half hour. This could explain the poor quality of the Legislative Advocacy Committees recent conference call using the ARRL bridge. The suggestion to stagger conference call start times is worth considering. Be well and safe. _______________________________________ John Robert Stratton N5AUS Director West Gulf Division Office:512-445-6262 Cell:512-426-2028 P.O. I would concur with such advice. Cisco gave us the same advice re webex, but Webex was also down for us today for some time. Zoom works really well and I'm now having clubs use it for meetings. 73 Ria, N2RJ On Wed, 18 Mar 2020 at 21:47, John Robert Stratton <N5AUS@n5aus.com> wrote:
