In my conversations with Fred Maia, W5YI, he indicated that the new question pool is designed to make the entry level test much easier. If you read it, you will note that all the math is removed along with some of the other basic data. I asked Fred as to the percentage of pass/fail on the current test pool for technician and he said that it is over 90% passing. I guess from this they are trying to go after the other 10%.
