[arrl-odv:33612] ODV 2

David Regardless of the increase in the time needed to accomplish the transition and the future time that will be required to hunt down the remaining bugs and mend the breaks, it appears we have crossed the Rubicon mostly intact. Please extend everyone's thanks to all our employees and/or outside contractors, if any, who were involved in the transition for their efforts and time. Anyone with experience in major software projects knows that software cut-overs never go without a hitch and it is rare that schedules are kept. Thanks again to all involved. _______________________________________ John Robert Stratton N5AUS Director West Gulf Division Office:512-445-6262 Cell:512-426-2028 P.O. John, Thank you for your thoughts – and the support of so many Board members. Yes, there are still quirks we are dealing with, especially regarding single sign-on, but it was important to get the site up. We see many memberships going through, a $2500 Diamond Club transaction, and the store is busy. So members are on the site and lively. We had an employee sneak into HQ early this morning and place a personally addressed greeting card on everyone’s desk – anonymously. The card addressed to me read: “Find some time in your day for you. Enjoy the little things. Be reminded of what is truly important to you, And indulge in it.” If anyone doubts the team spirit we’ve built and are building at HQ, then come and take a look. Thanks. I agree with Mickey. The feedback from most members, appointees, section managers is definitely positive. That may be why we have disappointed and noisy grumblers. After all, everyone has a need to be needed. Nice work, David. 73, Art K0AIZ -- Arthur I.
