Barry, Thanks for all the help. The "block" was established by them solely, not through the mail-abuse.org group which we are well aware of and does not list the arrl.net server on their "black list". This is an example of what some would term a "bully list" established by a local ISP to try and force other ISPs (but not themselves obviously) to implement spam filtering that they themselves are unwilling to do, probably because of the costs involved. 73, Barry, N1VXY -----Original Message----- From: Day, Coy (Dir, West Gulf) Sent: Wednesday, October 02, 2002 12:30 PM To: arrl-odv Subject: [ARRL-ODV:7847] ARRL.NET Hi All, This isn't a good day. I just got a call from a key member of my division and he was madder than a wet hen. (That's upset for you folks up north) His local ISP has blocked all his e-mail coming through arrl.net. It seems that arrl.net has been added to the REALTIME BLACKHOLE LIST by the folks at MAIL ABUSE, http://mail-abuse.org/. They add folks to this list to try to force them to clean up their act and help in stopping spam. This is not good. A lot of ISP's around the country subscribe to this list. Anyone else having any complaints? Coy ...........
