[arrl-odv:19149] Re:RE: Hello from Russia

Tnx Bruce. The teams had a great sunrise opening to the US on 20 -- good runs into the west coast. After 22 hours there are about 15 teams with more than 3000 QSOs -- not bad for 100 watts, a low tribander and a couple of low inverted vees. Many teams are very close together in scoring -- it will be tough work for the judges starting in a few hours! You wouldn't believe the work done by about 170 volunteers, some of whom travelled for three or four days from Siberia just to get here, to set up the antennas, tents, etc. and then to stay on site to take care of the competitors and referees. Incredible ham spirit. 73, Dave K1ZZ in Domodedovo www.wrtc2010.ru ________________________________ From: Bruce Frahm [mailto:brucefrahmk0bj@gmail.com] Sent: Sat 7/10/2010 2:05 PM To: arrl-odv Cc: arrl-odv Subject: [arrl-odv:19144] Re: Hello from Russia Dobray ootra Dave, Pse bring back a good PowerPoint of the event, 3L of WRTC vodka, or both. 20 strange here with some strongish EU, some vy weak...
