John was part of our extended ARRL family, serving as a DXCC card checker here in Washington. He was very active in the Western Wa DX Club, and a personal friend. He was a mover and shaker within the club, driving members to get on the air every chance he could. RIP John. Mark, HDX [image: image.png]
John had a big one-two punch; first battling cancer for several years, then coming down with COVID that apparently finished him off. Not a good combination. Besides being a card checker, he was a very active DXer up here in the NW Division. As Mark has stated, he will be sorely missed. The NW Division also lost Steve Lund, K6UM, a very active member of the WVDXC this week, from a long bout with cancer.
