Jim, We will be making use of this very shortly here in the Delta Division. Amy Bullock, N5TBB is very busy to get things up and going here. Thanks! Thanks to all the members on your committee! 73, Henry - WD4Q ----- Original Message ----- From: Jim Weaver To: arrl-odv Sent: Saturday, December 23, 2006 3:35 PM Subject: [arrl-odv:15010] Legislative Action Program Certificate All, On behalf of the Legislative Action Committee, I am pleased to announce the generator for making Legislative Action Certificates is available to use. The generator is temporarily on ODV as the top item under the third category, Miscellaneous ARRL Documents. It will be moved to the Grassroots area after a few sophistications have been added to the volunteer Registry there. To use the LAP Certificate Generator, go to ODV and click on Grassroots Certificate Generator. At the Generator, insert the call sign of the person to receive the certificate into the first box and hit Tab. This should automatically bring the name of the person into the second box. Select the position the person has been appointed to fill (Division Legislative Action Chair, Legislative Action Coordinator and Legislative Action Assistant). Click Generate Certificate and proceed to save or print the certificate. The certificate generator should automatically select the correct Division of the Director who will sign the certificate), e.g. Director, Atlantic Division, Director, Northwestern Division. Thanks go to Linda Zlachetka who provided the fine art work and to Jon Bloom who programmed the certificate and generator. REMINDER: To be appointed to a position in the ARRL LAP, the appointee must be a member of ARRL and must remain a member of ARRL to retain the appointment. If an appointee allows his membership to terminate, he automatically has resigned from the LAP post. The reason for this relates to IRS constraints on our lobbying activities, and is discussed in the LAP FAQ and other documents (see the Grassroots area). If you have any questions concerning the LAP or the Certificate Generator, please contact any member of the Legislative Action Committee.
