[arrl-odv:18950] RE: [arrl-odv:18948] Fwd: New web site

Bob, the list of QN signals is at http://www.arrl.org/files/file/Public%20Service/fsd218.pdf. The google search that I described a couple of days ago led me right to it. See you in Reno. Bob -- W6RGG ------------------------ Three comments about the new ARRL website: 1. The organization and link structure don't seem intuitive for me. For example, looking for the NTS page [see #3], I tried "On the air," then "Operating Specialties" and "Operating Resources," none of which give me a clue as to what might be under them, or seem to have the QN signals list. I finally found it in my 2002 Handbook. 2. There are some of us who do not have Internet access at the blinding speeds of others. The old site loaded for me in a totally acceptable 5 or 6 seconds, sometimes 4 on a good day. The new one just took 25, and that is actually faster than usual. 3. I was looking for a list of QN signals used on NTS nets. I tried a number of searches, including "NTS," "National Traffic System," and picking one I know [QNI]. No joy. Don't want to be some Luddite opposed to any change, but not a real happy camper about the new site.
