[ARRL-ODV:11656] FW: ISART

Ladies and Gentlemen: I'm sure this has been mentioned at HQ and possibly at the EC meetings. I forward it for what it is worth. Maybe we have an ardent skier who would be willing to take a winter vacation at the time of this meeting and gratuitously represent the League at it. 73, Happy Holidays, Jim Jim Weaver, K8JE Director, Great Lakes Division ARRL; http://www.arrl.org/ 5065 Bethany Rd., Mason, OH 45040 Tel.: 513-459-0142; E-mail: k8je@arrl.org ARRL: The reason Amateur Radio Is! In the latest issue of the society's magazine, there was a notice about the upcoming > International Symposium on Advanced Radio Technologies (http://its.bldrdoc.gov/meetings/art/index.php). As you can see below, I asked Ed Hare W8RFI if the ARRL was sending anyone to this symposium, but he wasn't sure. I think it would be a good thing if the ARRL had some representation. I'll even volunteer to attend, if the ARRL will pick up some of my expenses, although I'm not perhaps the most qualified. Another idea would be to have a local Technical Specialist attend. 73! Not that I know of, but that would generally be handled by our DC office.

Hi, Ed--
Just curious. Is the ARRL sending anyone to the International Symposium on Advanced Radio Technologies (http://its.bldrdoc.gov/meetings/art/index.php)?
