Although it is true that Earthlink subscribers can filter spam on their accounts, taking advantage of this feature requires them to use Earthlink's special e-mail / browser software. If Earthlink subscribers prefer to use other e-mail and browser programs instead of Earthlink's stuff, they can't use the spam filter. It wasn't that way in the past, but it is now.
