[ARRL-ODV:7786] Veterns of Secret Unit Celebrate Their War hero: Radar

That's the title of an article in the "Science Times" section page F2 of the today's New York Times. And they do mention ham radio but no callsigns. One of the men mentioned and pictured in the article is Harrison W. Moore, W2JQS, who is president of one of the local QCWA chapters. "Harry" as he is called by local hams, recounts in the article how he got into the special unit: "One day I came across an article that said the Army was looking for recent college grads with science backgrounds and an amateur radio license for a classified project." I have not looked up the others in the picture or the article but I am sure many of them were or are still hams. Frank....N2FF....
