One of our club's OTs tells the story of poor luck on 40M during the graveyard shift back in the 50s. They only made 2 or 3 QSOs. At daylight they discovered the 40M coax was NOT connected to the 40 dipole, but rather was coiled UNDER the sleeping bag where this OT had been sleeping...........
