[arrl-odv:22476] IT Department Priorities Issue

Barry, First thank you for sending out the priority list of IT projects for this fiscal year. Could you please tell me what the status is of the move from the Seibel CRM system to the new ARRL Information System. I am particularly interested in this as I believe that through the upgrade, the modernization of the membership account system (including the updates to the membership application/renewal AND allowing for automatic credit card/digital renewals of membership) will allow for increased productivity and better management of income derived by a more rapid intake of funds. In addition, it will allow for savings on the cost of renewal mailings both in actual funds as well as administrative costs. In my estimation, a “win-win.” Although the aforementioned item is number 1 on the list of priorities, would it be possible to know what else the IT Department is currently working on and where they stand in those projects? Thank you. 73, Mike

Along similar lines, there is not presently a provision for making a recurring donation to one of the various funds via the website; the donor can only make a one time donation via the website. Recurring donations must be established by contacting the Development office. While large donors would likely not avail themselves to an online recurring donation signup, it would be a very good vehicle for encouraging members to become donors via a painless monthly donation of $10, $20, etc. per month.
