[arrl-odv:33633] QST paper responses

Well then! My bulletin to members re: the May QST paper really struck a chord. I will share with you that the responses have been immediate and 100.00% positive. Members are happy for the openness about the problems, VERY happy that we chose to print QST even though it was more expensive, and understanding that things need to change related to printing magazines - although some were clear: they must have a printed magazine to read; while others were also clear: please DO something about the digital magazine platform we use! I have never had a response like this to anything we have written or done. Even my inclusion column pales in sheer volume. I am also getting emails to my home email, through QRZ I suspect. We will be discussing the paper issues at A&F this Saturday. If anything different comes up, I will promptly let you know. Thanks David

Hi David That's the power of transparency. That said it was extremely proactive to source alternate paper and not let our magazine fall into the abyss (as others ahem have done) so much so that even MAV is singing the praises. Mega props to you guys at HQ for doing that. Finally, I'll quote Hiram Percy Maxim: "Everything that A.R.R.L. undertakes must be 100% for the general good. That policy bred loyalty and confidence. With those two things an organization can prosper forever." 73 Ria N2RJ ________________________________ From: arrl-odv <arrl-odv-bounces@reflector.arrl.org> on behalf of Minster, David NA2AA (CEO) <dminster@arrl.org> Sent: Wednesday, April 6, 2022 5:15:21 PM To: arrl-odv <arrl-odv@arrl.org> Subject: [arrl-odv:33633] QST paper responses Well then! While this is great, for some individuals it took extremely long time from release yesterday until it arrived in their in box. As result I was getting complaints during that time period. For me it arrived April 6 2:20 PM CDT today and not April 5 as the message is dated. I didn’t get my copy until about the same time. Clearly they were slow being delivered.
