[arrl-odv:17439] Straight Key Night (the video)

All -- This is from one of my members -- a creative way to share his passion. How cool it'd be to have things like this, created by members, on the ARRL website for others to enjoy. 73, Brian N5ZGT ARRL Director, Rocky Mountain Division www.RockyMountainDivision.org -----Original Message----- From: SteveG [mailto:n0tu.qrp@gmail.com] Sent: Tuesday, January 06, 2009 8:14 PM To: qrp-l qrp-l Cc: SteveG Subject: Straight Key Night (the video) Folks, My SKN was a hoot! Fired up my Johnson Viking Adventurer with the Heath VF-1 and Drake 2B/2BQ. To say my signal had a little chirp on it was understatement! Ran through all my keys and rigs making about a dozen QSOs. What FUN! My J5A was the key of the day/night! Video tells the story best. (below) This is my video of my Straight Key Night(day) experience. It's all about morse code, old tubes that GLOW, chirps, keys, paddles, some of my QRP rigs and lots of CW & did I say keys? Sorry no goats though except for the old goat! Actually Peanut made me put him in it at the end. Unfortunately I was unable to obtain all of the visuals from all stations I worked hence not all the stations I had QSOs with are in this video (editor's license I guess) But I did manage to fill up ten minutes with the stuff we all love or at least I know I do! So ENJOY! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aAk7gRdwpGs Thanks again to all those who took part and who have taken part in this GREAT pursuit called Ham Radio ...it's the 'best' because of you!
