[arrl-odv:13671] CQ ARTICLE ON EFFECGTIVE LOBBYING

Ladies and Gentlemen, Not being so vain that I won't take advantage of something good made available by a competitor, I'd like to encourage you to read the article in CQ on Effective Lobbying In Support of Amateur Radio - Step by Step by N3IF and AJ3X. The precise details of this article don't fully align with the process we've adopted for our Legislative Action Program, but these are close enough to make it worthwhile reading by our people. The article as you may have noted from earlier notes to ODV is in February CQ. It begins on p. 44. It may fill in a bit of missing information for you. Incidentally, the Grassroots Regulatory Action Committee, as I am sure is true of other Board committees, has been very active since we left Windsor. One of the first actions we plan to undertake is to contact each Director to learn from you all by picking your brains. In this way, we believe we can work cooperatively to strengthen our Grassroots program. 73, Jim Weaver, K8JE, Director 5065 Bethany Rd., Mason, OH 45040 E-mail: k8je@arrl.org; Tel: 513-459-0142 ARRL Great Lakes Division ARRL, the Reason Amateur Radio is!
