[arrl-odv:20598] 60M Recommended Practices publication

A news item publicizing availability of and linking to the recently approved 60 Meter Recommended Practices document now appears on the ARRL website at http://www.arrl.org/news/arrl-publishes-new-guidelines-for-60-meters Work and vacation scheduling delayed this but it is appearing more than a week prior to the effective date of the expanded privileges. Happily, staff was able to get the two page article on our new privileges into April QST. It will be on the streets shortly after the R&O effective date March 5. This article presents the concepts of the Practices document in a friendly style. The copy cutoff date for April QST was just made -- thanks to EC and board for your quick suggestions and approval. And a special thanks to Steve Ford for doing the major authoring on this item. With WRC-15 now eyeing the 5 MHz amateur allocation for its agenda we have a welcome opportunity to expand our track record on 60 M, and possibly expand our spectrum there in upcoming years. 73 Bruce K0BJ HF Band Planning chair
