From feedback I've received in writing and via phone, the consensus is that we do nothing.

The mechanisms for served agencies to request assistance are already in place. If they need assistance they will request it and our members will respond. Going beyond that may spotlight the events. Our comments could cause members who wouldn't have had a thought of getting involved to jump up and take unwelcome action. Thanks for your fast response! David
