[ARRL-ODV:11791] Re: Snow far, snow good

I'm very happy to say I am not in the running for the "last flake" out of BDL. After being bumped around (while I was still at the hotel, fortunately) from flight to flight and departure time to departure time, I was "lucky" to be put on a 5:40 AM flight this morning to Cincinnati. I even had great company on the way to the airport. The Reverend Shattuck and I shared the taxi. He kept the driver and me on the straight and narrow. Insofar as I was able to learn, there weren't any snow shows for the flight. It was nice to join with you all, y'all. The Philly airport closed before my Saturday afternoon flight could take off from BDL, and between the closure there and the all-day closure at BDL on Sunday ... Well, I toasted the Eagles victory over Atlanta in a hotel bar near the airport. Wearing an Eagles t-shirt into a bar full of Patriots fans is a character-building experience! I'm writing this at my gate at BDL Monday morning about 9 AM, and we are assured the 9:25 AM flight to Philly *will* go, albeit somewhat late. Here's hoping everybody either is home already or will be there soon. Safely. 73 - Kay N3KN/1
