[arrl-odv:33924] Brazil proposes to mandate LoTW confirmations for license upgrades

http://www.southgatearc.org/news/2022/july/brazil-proposed-regulatory-change... I found this quite interesting. Some countries require proof of contacts to upgrade your class of license. Usually this is via QSL cards. But the proposal would require the use of LoTW. Ria, A long time ago, we had to agree to a statement that indicated we had been on the air in order to renew. I don't recall the particulars, though. Interesting article. Thanks for sending it. Art On 7/21/2022 9:03 PM, Jairam, Ria, N2RJ (Dir, HD) wrote:

Do you suppose we might ask the Brazilian government for some financial support to maintain/upgrade LOTW ?? And perhaps if other governments follow suit, we could do the same with them? Also, what terms and conditions might apply vis-a-vis official use of LOTW? Would we want to introduce some level of anonymity? Lots of cool questions to ponder ....
