[arrl-odv:32629] Comment from Japanese ham

Comment: “ Very nice to see a Japanese ham, Hiroki Kato, AH6CY, on the cover of the QST Magazine August 2021 issue. Probably the first time in my ARRL membership since 2002. ” It is nice to see but I’m surprised it took so long. While we are a US based organization, amateur radio is a global community. I’ve written for Japanese amateur radio magazines and they are very keen on the American and international viewpoint. I think we ought to return the favor sometimes, especially given just how much we use Japanese designed and manufactured radio equipment. This is not just for Japan but also more international content. Anyway it was nice to see. 73 Ria N2RJ

Agreed. We need to do all we can to expand our audience beyond old white men like me. Good to work you on 6M this morning! 73, Mickey From: arrl-odv <arrl-odv-bounces@reflector.arrl.org> On Behalf Of rjairam@gmail.com Sent: Friday, July 23, 2021 9:30 AM To: arrl-odv <arrl-odv@arrl.org> Subject: [arrl-odv:32629] Comment from Japanese ham Comment: “ Very nice to see a Japanese ham, Hiroki Kato, AH6CY, on the cover of the QST Magazine August 2021 issue.
