To all the members of the board:
The issue of American Samoa, and Swains Island is to say the least an irritant!
However, Dave Sumner is taking the heat unfairly. I got the first letter over a year ago from Larry Gandy and Dave helped craft the response. As President the responsibility is mine. Kan is taking shots at Dave only because of his role as IARU Secretariat. If Kan and Larry Gandy would stop and think for a minute they would realize the fact that the ARRL is the representative society for American Samoa. We make the decisions on American Samoa, not the IARU secretary.
I have noted that Kan and Larry have choosen to ignore myself and the board in this issue. I will not allow Kan to "hijack" the DXCC program as they are trying to do.
